F.A.Q.'S
What health testing have the Sire and Dam had to ensure a good breeding?

The standard testing for Breeding is managed by the Canine Health Information Centre (known as OFA). Hips, Shoulders, eyes and Thyroid function are the test important for this breed. For our current littler of Stella and Ronan, both the Sire and Dam scored 'excellent' on their Hips, often the most crucial of all the testing.
What health check-ups, testing and vaccinations will the puppies have before they are ready to go to their homes?
The Puppies will be taken to a qualified veterinarian at the age of eight weeks, where they will receive a complete health examination, first series of vaccinations and a health record to be passed onto your vet, as well as an implanted identification chip.
At what age can the puppies leave Mom and head to their new families?
The puppies should stay with their mother at least for the first 8 weeks of their life.

How can I know which puppy is best suited for my home?
The Questionnaire on this site and any conversations we may have are important tools to give the Breeder insight into the home the puppies are headed to. It will help the breeder guide you in your ultimate choice of which puppy to take. The puppies are constantly evaluated for structure, temperament and suitability for each type of home (pet, performance, show or breeding) as they grow. There is also a 'first committed = first choice' principle taken into consideration, but ultimately choosing a pup based on where his red spots might happen to be located isn’t the best way find your new companion. Some are more vocal than others, some more calm, some more adventurous etc. As they get older, keep checking for more videos on this site and you will see them interacting with each other. We also do some outside personality testing on each pup, and will expose them to birds to see who’s the most interested in being a hunting dog. By eight weeks, we have gotten to know the personalities a little bit, but it’s no guarantee at that age!

How much does a puppy cost?

Pure Bred puppies are a time consuming and costly effort for the Breeders. There are expensive health clearances to be obtained, a stud fee for the Sire, championship Titles to be obtained through Conformation Shows and careful consideration of which lines are good contenders. Often the Sire or the Dam travel to enable the breeding to happen.
As such, in order to recover the costs and to ensure the puppies and the parents are well taken care of, the price for each puppy has been set at $2000 Canadian.
Can a puppy be shipped to my home?
All costs involved with getting the puppy to your home are to be born by the purchaser. Being located on the Sunshine Coast in BC makes your travel by car to pick up the puppy an easy day trip from Vancouver, the BC Interior, Washington State or Vancouver Island. It is sometimes possible for us to meet you in the lower mainland (Vancouver area) with your pup also.
If you are coming from further afield we can help you with choosing the right airline travel to get your puppy home.
If the puppy is crossing an International Border, please investigate the requirements you will need to fulfill in order for them to be able to do so.

How can I get more information on associations, clubs, training schools, etc so I can have an active life with my puppy?
We recommend you consult the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) or your country's Canine Association as a good source of reputable associations to contact.
How does Puppy Health Insurance work?
While we do not endorse any particular insurer, puppy insurance is a good tool to help provide care should it be needed in case of illness or accident. Think of it as a 'savings' account which is available so you can give your dog the best care it might need in the future without having to worry about the financial impacts at that time. Your pup will be covered by insurance for the first month he is in your home.
Bringing a new puppy to join your household is a serious commitment. We are happy to provide support whilst you prepare for your puppy to come home and will always remain available for any queries you might have going forward.
As all serious Breeders do, we stand behind the future happiness of our puppies and will work with you to ensure we can achieve that together.
Thanks for reaching out for any other information we can provide as you consider this life changing and wonderful addition to your home.
